The class is suitable for all levels, including beginners. It can be the perfect place to start your yoga journey as we'll be focusing on gentle movement with everything explained thoroughly. If you have yoga experience, you may also enjoy the time to slow down and draw your attention inward.

Yes, definitely! This class is designed so that you do not need flexibility to participate. An outcome of your practice will probably be improved flexibility, but our main goal is to unwind tension in the body and the mind to leave you feeling relaxed and restored by the end of the class.

If you have an injury, please contact a meditation professional to get advice on what movement is or isn't suitable for you. Once you have this guidance, contact me directly or let me know at point of booking so that I can ensure the practice is suitable for your needs. My class has options throughout, including the option to practice on a chair or avoid postures which bear weight on the hands/wrists and knees. Please feel free to contact me directly and we can discuss whether the class is suitable for your needs. You are welcome to join the class if you are pregnant, however it is your responsibility to be informed of what movement is and isn't suitable for you (please consult with your midwife or medical professional before attending).

You can complete your booking through the website. Input the code 1FREE at the class stage of checkout to claim your free trial class. There is no obligation to continue with classes, it is an opportunity for you to try the class and see if it is beneficial for you. If you have any difficulties, please contact me at birchesyoga@gmail.com or via the form below.

You don't need to bring much—just yourself! However, I recommend bringing a yoga mat (you can borrow one by adding it to your booking), a water bottle, and a blanket or extra layer to stay cozy during relaxation at the end of class.

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and allows you to move freely. This could be gym clothes, tracksuits, leggings, or even your favorite PJs! There's no need for specific yoga attire. Just a gentle reminder to avoid clothing with offensive slogans or language to keep the space welcoming for everyone.

The class is a Gentle Hatha Yoga class. Hatha Yoga is a foundational, slower-paced style focusing on reconnecting with the body and mind through physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation. In this class, we focus on gentle movement to gradually unwind any tension as well as simple pranayama practices and a guided meditation or relaxation.

Classes are held in the Drama Room at Langley Academy every Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm. Please arrive a few minutes early to settle in. There's plenty of free parking available on-site for your convenience.

I do not offer hands-on adjustments or assists in this class. My style of teaching is focused on allowing you to experience the sensations of movement, rather than achieving a specific alignment. I will ensure your practice is safe through verbal clues and demonstration and allow you the space to explore your own body and range of movement.

Bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance, through the website, free of charge. For changes made with less than 24 hours notice, contact me directly. A £2 fee may apply to cancel with less than 24 hours notice.

I strive to make my classes as welcoming and stress-free as possible. Here is what you can expect from the space and my teaching style: Getting Here: There is on-site parking, including dedicated disabled bays. The building offers step-free access with doorways wide enough for wheelchair users. Facilities: The venue has male and female restrooms, as well as a gender-neutral, accessible disabled toilet. In the Room: The room is dimly lit to create a calm atmosphere. Please be aware that there are ventilation covers on the floor; I mention this so those who may trip easily can navigate the room with extra care. The Practice: I provide chairs and blocks for everyone’s use. My teaching style is 'choice-based,' meaning I offer multiple variations for every movement so you can always choose the option that feels right for your body and energy levels. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any accessibility needs that I can support with.

Feel free to reach out to me anytime! You can contact me through the form below, send an email to birchesyoga@gmail.com, or give me a call at 07572860843. I'm here to help.
